There is a wealth of old literature regarding silver gelatin printing-out paper (P.O.P.). In its day, P.O.P. (a.k.a. POP) was very popular, and with popularity comes opinions. Looking at the medium from this side of history, it seems that there was nearly as much written, both fact and opinion, regarding the "right" way to make a POP print as there is today with digital techniques. L.P. Clerc wrote an excellent survey chapter in his classic book. Denise Ross
