Road Trip and Reading

February 14, 2012

I've taken my kit and kaboodle (and Valentine and Dog) to the mountains for a week. We loaded a portable darkroom, along with my Baby Graphic and way too much film and way too many books into the back of the Subaru. I've set up a film developing area in the laundry room closet in the bathroom of the cabin. It's working great. I'll post pictures when I get back home next week.

I was able to get a couple of test shots developed yesterday. I'm still not quite believing the speed this emulsion seems to have. Details soon. For now, I'll share the reading I've been doing — Chapter XVII, 'Orthochromatic Photography', from PHOTOGRAPHY, Theory and Practice, Being An English Edition of "La Technique Photographique", by L.P. Clerc, and edited by George E. Brown, 1930.
